Car Seats

Whether you're taking your little one home from the hospital or taking a family road trip, you know how important it is to have a car seat. Car seats are just one of the important pieces of baby gear you can use to keep your baby safe. And not only are they recommended; they're required by law. is here to help you keep your baby safe and still come in under budget with quality products you can count on at rock-bottom prices you're sure to love.
Car seats come in different sizes for babies of different ages, weights and sizes. It is recommended that infants ride in rear-facing car seats for at least the first year, then transition to a front-facing car seat based on their weight and height. Infant car seats are sometimes compatible with strollers; consider purchasing a base for each of your cars and check the brand to see if you can move your sleeping baby directly from the car to the stroller for an uninterrupted nap. Once an infant has outgrown an infant car seat, you can move to either a convertible car seat or a front-facing car seat. Convertible car seats can be used as rear-facing seats and then rotated to become front-facing car seats; they tend to be larger than average car seats to accommodate the wider range of sizes they can hold and are generally not compatible with strollers. Front-facing car seats replace the rear-facing version altogether once your child is an appropriate size. They cannot be used as a rear-facing seat, so make sure your child is ready for the switch before you change out the seat.
Once you've decided on a baby car seat, it's time for the fun part: accessorizing! There are cute covers you can buy that are easily removable for washing and matching toys that keep your baby entertained while you drive. Since infants ride in rear-facing car seats, consider a mirror to hang in front of her face; this lets you see her reflection and know what's going on in the back seat without leaving the driver's seat. Look to for the best prices on the gear you have to have for your baby's safety and your peace of mind.
