I would give this product 10 stars if I could. My sons both got horrible teething rashes. Even if I put them in a shower minutes after pooping, they developed rashes similar to a chemical burn. My older son had a rash that bled and blistered and lasted 4 months, even with prescription creams and multiple visits to the MD. We finally, thankfully, found Burt's Bees. We were desperate and tried everything. And I mean, everything. I am a pharmacist and asked every customer with kids for a recommendation. We tried them all. We started using Burt's Bees when my boy's 4 month rash was blistered and had some openings. We only used it on the intact skin, not the open wounds. I was a little nervous at first because of the rosemary smell (like the other reviewer said). But it was very soothing for him. The blisters and even the fungal areas were all cleared up in 3 days. As the open areas healed, we covered the new skin with Burt's Bees every time we changed his diaper. It was amazing. The skin healed for the first time in months. We continued to use the ointment as a preventative, and applied it as thick as icing every time the boys cut a new tooth. It worked so well that we never had another open rash again. Even the slight rashes here or there would disappear within a day. Because of Burt's Bees, my younger son has never had to experience the severe rashes that his older brother did. It is an amazing product. Like the other reviewer recommended, I didn't use it on my newborn as soon as I brought him home. I started using it about 1 month later, just a thin layer for protection. It didn't cause any problems and it has worked well ever since. I highly recommend this product as a pharmacist and a mom. It is very pricey, but worth it. We cut the tubes open after they were "done" and scraped out the remaining ointment. The tube design tends to leave about a half ounce that is difficult to squeeze out. Don't forget that it is an FSA eligible product. :)

Love this diaper cream, love the natural ingredients, and the fresh clean scent. Perfect for newborn bottoms, and great for warding off diaper rash!

This product is not for a newborn. It smells very strongly of rosemary which can be somewhat harsh. My son developed quite a red painful rash from it very quickly. Our pediatrician states she has seen this before with this product and to stay away.
