I bought this seat when my son outgrew his 40lb limit car seat by height just before he turned three. We have the now discontinued Park Ave cover on ours. After 2yrs of continuous use with out washing, the cover has held up extremely well and looks practically like new. This seat is on the heavier side, but I found that the installation instructions were easy to follow and the seat is incredibly easy to install using LATCH. It was a little more difficult installing with the vehicle lap/shoulder belt, but the built in lock offs make the job easier. I also loved the infinite adjust harness since I could make the harness fit my son perfectly - no guess work if the straps were too high or too low. He was also able to rear face in this seat until he reached 33lbs. He was tall and skinny, so had outgrown his other convertible seat rear facing already, even though he was only 27lbs when he outgrew it completely by height. The bigger Britax seats all have a tall shell, so it allowed him to rear face to the maximum weight, and quite comfortably too. Rear facing is 5x safer than fwd facing, just do a search on extended rear facing.
