  The bed rail works fine. I would advise that you put some kind of protection material under the bed rail supports which are between the mattress and box springs. This will prevent any wear or tear to the box springs.

  I chose this due to the reviews. I moved my 2 year old into her twin trundle bed on her birthday. I was a bit concerned she would be too young and always get out of her bed, but the double bed rail gives her the security of her crib. She still calls for us to get her out of bed in the morning. She hasn't tried to crawl over the rails or hang off of them. I'm sure you could bed them if you put a lot of weight on them, but I find them sturdy enough for the job. It is a pain in the butt to make her bed. the sheets and blankets dont look nice because they dont hange over the sides, but I don't really care; her safety is what is important. I would reccommend this product if you don't want their bed against the wall.

  This was pretty east to put together. The instructions over complicate the process. I bought two and put the second one together without having to refer back to the instructions. Its very rickety. To "hide away" is very difficult and it is not completely hidden as pictures show. Two U shpaed steel pieces stick out from under mattress and are dangerous. When you pull the bed rail out to setup, it pulls out all of the sheets, and you have to work with it for quite a while to get the pins to line up and lock into place. I cannot return this because the boxes have been thrown away and one of the rails was bent while I was trying to get in the upright position. (which I could never do and I admit I had a bit of a temper tantrum)

  Once it was put together its good. I wouldn't buy again though because the directions very unclear and frustrating.

  I have several different makes of bed rails and these are best, in my opinion. secure. takes a little time to assemble.
