Bringing your baby home is a tender, memory-making event and one that deserves some fanfare. Bassinets are considered something of a luxury item by some parents; but the heart wants what the heart wants, and if a bringing baby home to a bassinet is your dream, then is here to help you fulfill it. Bassinets and cradles serve as baby's first bed, and while a crib will work, a baby bassinet has the advantage of providing a small, secure space that can help your little one transition into the big, wide world.
When you start shopping for a bassinet, you need to consider how much space you have, where the bassinet will go and what look you're trying to achieve. Bassinets are commonly placed in the room with the parents since the infant will progress to a crib relatively quickly. Just because you want to give your baby the best doesn't mean you have to spend a lot; shop for low prices on high-quality bassinets in wicker, wood and more.
Check your baby bassinet for safety. If it has wheels, and many do to make portability an option, make sure they lock so your little one won't roll away in the night. Put your finger down between the mattress and the edge of the bassinet; the mattress should fit snugly so there's no chance of a tiny limb getting stuck. Give some thought to the number of times you'll need to get to your baby in the night; if the hood is hard to fold back or heavy curtains are in the way, then nighttime feedings will be more of a challenge.
Once you've settled on a bassinet, it's time for the fun part: deciding how to accessorize. Many bassinets are somewhat gender-neutral, which makes them ideal for parents hoping to use the bed for more than one baby or those who enjoy the thrill of not knowing who's coming home. For parents who choose to know the gender of the baby in advance, you can buy pink, blue, green and yellow bassinets and bassinet accessories; there's something out there for every nursery.

For less than $*** this bassinet is a great value. No, it isn't going to hold up to a 20 pound baby and a 3 year old trying to climb up the side BUT, it is certainly study enough to stand safely with a baby less than 14 pounds that doesn't try to climb out. It's built for a newborn and is beautiful and easy to put together!

This was ordered as a shower gift for a work associate after taking a collection from her teammates for the 'perfect gift'. It is just darling and the mom to be loves it.

I bought this for my niece who just found out she's having a baby boy! I think she will really like it. My husband put it together right away, and he said there was no problems putting it together. I love the idea of it having a storage area.

I was so excited about the "3 in 1" idea behind this bassinet. The changing table would be very cumbersome to snap on top every time you need to change the baby, and is more like a hammock, than changing table (it does not have a solid piece underneath it like a changing table does). The wood is poor quality; it scratched moving the bassinet to the nursery. The Moses basket has two metal bars that run behind the head and feet of where the baby will be. It seems like the metal bars would be felt by the baby, and you not supposed to add extra padding to the basket. The mattress smells very badly of plastic when you open it, and it will need to be aired out for a while before you use it. You can order extra bassinet sheets through, as the mattress pad won't fit regular sheets.

I brought this as a gift for my niece and her mom said it was beautiful. I've haven't seen it yet so I'll take her word that the bassinet was everything they hoped for.
