This clock is a great idea, and my 2-year-old was very excited about it: picked it out himself when I was searching for a clock for his room. When it arrived, I read the instructions carefully, and set the alarm up for just a few minutes later to see what the "eyes opening" function was like. My son thought it was fun, and I was delighted. After the "alarm," of pleasant jungle music and eyes opening happened, we pressed the button to close the monkey's eyes again, without re-setting the alarm. My son said, "Monkey wake up! Monkey wake up!" and try as I might, I could not get the eyes to re-open. Well, this was incredibly disturbing to a 2-year-old, and he refused to have it in the same room with him from then on. I am returning it, but I would say that if your child wasn't bothered by the eyes only opening when the alarm went off, that the product is just fine.

• How accurate was the sizing? Size was correct.
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. The product was brightly colored, sturdy, and appealing to my 2-year-old. I was a bit surprised that the digital part is a 24 hour clock.
• Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? It did not "deactivate" as stated in the included instructions.
