The leather is thin and the ankle elastic is neither very stretchy or tight enough. I pulled it tighter & re-knotted the elastic so they would stay on little feet. I absolutely love the design, so it's my own fault for keeping them. The sizing seems really big, but maybe my kiddo's feet are small. There's just a big difference between sizes. I think this is true of other brands too though. I ordered the 12-18 month size first, realized they were way too big, kept them & got the 6-12month too. The larger ones seem to be of higher quality, even though it's the same manufacturer & style!

These shoes had a distinct and terrible chemical smell that did not go away from airing out. Wouldn't put this on my son. The elastic that gathers around the heel is attached by a thin (3 mm) piece of flimsy fabric that is likely to tear on first wear. I returned them.

We've bought several pairs of these shoes in different styles and have been pleased with them all. Our toddler walks well in them, better than in any other shoes we tried. However, they wear very quickly. Quality is mediocre. The soft leather is very comfortable for our toddler, but it looks "old" quickly.

These cribs shoes are adorable and can easily be used for either a boy or a girl. They do run just a bit big. My only complaint was that the tag saying "Made In China" was sewn to the outside of the shoe! I had to very carefully cut it off with tiny scissors.
