We've traveled the globe looking for decor inspiration, but today we turn our attention to the art world; and what better place to start than with the master Vincent Van Gogh's work? This month, I chose "Vase of Sunflowers" for the bold colors and the earthy feel.
The colors Van Gogh used in this painting are bright and rich, and as such, when you are decorating your Vase of Sunflower room, think big, bold, and bright. Things like this red sofa will go well with sunny accents scattered throughout the room.
And don't forget the texture: Van Gogh painted with rich, thick strokes of paint; you almost want to touch them when you look at his paintings. I paired the velvet sofa with a rich shag rug to incorporate that thick, decadent feeling.
What do you think of the "Vase of Sunflowers" look? What Van Gogh piece do you find décor inspiration from?
