What does this icon mean?

Overstock.com is committed to offering products to help reduce impacts on the environment, made from environmentally safe processes and materials. Currently there is no standard for "green" or environmental friendly products. Overstock.com has taken the guidelines from several recognized organizations to outline a criteria for products to receive an eco-friendly logo. A product must meet one or more of the following to receive our Eco Icon.

More than 50% of the product is made with recycled or post consumer materials
More than 50% of the product can be recycled or biodegradable.
The ingredients or raw materials are 100% natural and come from sustainable and renewable sources
The product purpose or use conserves energy, water, waste or reduces environmental impacts (example Energy Star, low flow adaptors, solar lighting, composter)
The product is certified and approved by a third party organization that recognizes the product as environmentally safe and supports sustainable business practices.
