Good value in case something breaks down
I purchased the service plan in part because I purchased an electronic item that had previously been used or opened. The plan was somewhat reasonbly priced for the type of coverage it provided. The TV I purchased came with one year of coverage on parts and labor. As it turns out, the TV was in excellent condition but I'm still glad I have the extra year of coverage. I also used a credit card that automatically added another year on top of that. In all, I know have 3 years of coverage at a very reasonable price.
